Jewellery Care
Proper care and maintenance of your jewellery can ensure that it lasts for a long time and continues to look its best. Here are some guidelines to follow:
- Store your jewellery in a dry and clean place away from sunlight and heat sources. Exposure to moisture, light and high temperatures can cause damage or discoloration to some metals and stones.
- Avoid wearing your jewellery when engaging in activities that can damage it.
- Remove your jewellery before showering, applying makeup or using any chemicals such as perfumes, lotions or hair products. These substances can tarnish or corrode certain materials and cause discoloration.
- Clean your jewellery regularly using a soft special jewellery cloth, jewellery cleaner or a mild soap solution. For delicate pieces Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can scratch or damage the surface.
Jewellery is prone to discoloration over time due to various factors such as exposure to moisture, chemicals and air. Delicate metals like silver and gold can fade due to a natural process called oxidation, despite our best efforts. It's important to note that plating rubbing off naturally occurs with wear and tear and is not considered a manufacturing fault.
